This newsletter will be short but sweet. We just returned from a
fabulous although brief visit to Borneo. I fell in love with Borneo
at first sight. |
Our Borneo Sight Inspection

I embark on a journey of jet-lag so hard core, it could challenge an
astronaut. Borneo beckons because I’ve never been there. A mere 5
hours to LAX, 12 to Tokyo, 7 to Singapore and 3 to Kota. Mind you
this is just one way not including layover times. Seated in economy
class, I expect my body will dehydrate to a prune, my muscles
atrophy, pore’s clog and I’ll bloat with “jet belly” but it’s ok.
Bottom line is, I love airplanes. The near insanity of this that
it’s only a 5 day visit and I’m spending nearly as much time on land
as I will in the air.
On our arrival flight in, I see gleaming white beaches, turquoise
reefs and coconut trees that spread out as far as the eye can see.
At the airport, we are greeted by Martin who will oversee us and
answer the 7,000 questions I’ve prepared on this land.

2007 Trip Status Update

March - Costa Rica - Sold Out
April - Morocco - 1 space left
May - Both China Trips - Sold Out however we have 1 space for
man - please call 770-432-8225
July - Tuscany - We had hundreds of requests but few deposits
came in. We added a second identical trip back to back on July
23-29. At present space available on both trips. This is incredibly
priced at $995 land!
August - Singapore & Borneo - I anticipated a dozen singles but
we had over 80 requests. We're trying now to get air to do a second
trip back to back, so put your name on waitlist if interested. (It's
high season then. Singapore AL is coming in $800 more but I'm
pushing to get it at the same rate as group one.)
Sept. - Med. Cruise - In my humble opinion, this is the best
cruise itinerary out there with ports in Greece, Italy, Turkey and
Croatia! The breathtaking ship Serena is so new she is still in the
shipyard! We blocked 30 cabins but only half deposited. Cruiselines
are stricter than ever with space and this sailing is sold out. Book
now before they take back our space. You still have the opportunity
to get your cabin choice.
Oct. Zambia/Botswana - Sold out. 400 requests for 44 spaces and
we're unable to obtain land and air for a second group.
Nov. South America - Where the dollar is strong, people
friendly, food great and nightlife fun! I know you want the
itinerary on this but I didn't like the air schedule. Please be
patient until I can adjust it.
Dec. Lapland - Where is it? Join us for dogsledding in the
Arctic Circle. 7 spaces open.

AFS Wedding Bells
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Congrats to Ron Kaiser and Debbie Beck who will tie the not
on 7/7/07 (think 7 is their lucky number?) in Rome. They met on our
July 2006 Belgium / Holland trip!
