Here’s a vampire vacation of supernatural fun in a land that time forgot!
The spirit of Romania is found in its people known for hospitality and their long lived traditions. The beauty is found in nature with the lush Danube delta, deep blue Black Sea and craggy Carpathian Mountains. Discover the ornate monasteries, farmers markets, sweet wine, music of gypsy's and traditional hearty fare. |
| Our itinerary each day follows the trail of Vlad the Impaler, AKA Count Dracula. Bram Stokers novel will come to life before your eyes. Begin with a tour the modern capital Bucharest. Dracula will make an appearance at our Welcome Dinner here. We coach through valleys up to Transylvania, land of legends and mysteries. Visit Sibiu, a Saxon town declared Culture Capital of Europe 2007. |
| Tour monasteries followed by a grave walk and Romanian dinner at a farmers home with bonfires. Sighisoara, the best preserved medieval town in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the birthplace of Vlad. In his birth home we’ll toast vampire ‘blood’ and tour the Clock Tower, Torture Room and Museum. | Boo! |
Afterwards attend a mock Middle Ages Witch Trial performed in the old fortress. Also visit towns of Cluj Napoca and medieval Bistrita. We overnight in my favorite town of Sinaia, a mountain resort with Pele Castle and 17th century monasteries. A sleepless night awaits you at our Halloween Gala Costume Ball with special feast and entertainment! Late morning depart for Brasov to tour the Black Church and Dracula’s Castle in Bran. (Bring your garlic and crosses for protection.) The entire unholy week is haunted with undead fun.
The trip is low priced and fully escorted. Don’t miss this magical vacation in a land of wonderful folklore that is both educational and entertaining! Halloween will never be the same. |
