The country’s most breathtaking scenery unfolds before us as we enter Knysna, known for its oyster hatcheries, mountains and lakes. Ferry over lagoons to the Featherbed Natural Reserve for guided nature walks. Photograph the vistas on the craggy twin “Knysna Heads.” See rare birds, turtles and the endangered seahorses. The entire day is a Kodak moment. Canoe or kayak and then lunch at the unique “Food Forest” under the Milkwood trees. From Whalesong Lodge, we will visit a Zhosa tribe and head to Monkeyland, the world’s first free roaming primate sanctuary. Later depart with Ocean Safaris for a 2 hour Dolphin Cruise. Our last 3 days are spent at Kariega Game Reserve for daily game drives! This sanctuary holds over 250 species of animals including lion, leopard, rhino, hippo, elephant and buffalo.
