One
of our best trips ever included this region but we now present it in
depth by planes, trains, gondolas, hydrofoils, chairlifts and boats!
Switzerland and northern Italy are everything you imagined with
snow-capped alps, crystal lakes, emerald forests, traditional villages
and trendy towns. The Old World European ambience is found in its
outdoor cafes and cobblestone streets. July is the best time to go
when these countries come to life with every summer activity imaginable.
Enjoy the local food, wine and warm hospitality
throughout. Most spectacular will be the finest alpine views your eyes can
behold. Every turn will be a Kodak moment. |

We begin with a tour in Lucerne with its Chapel Bridge
on a blue pristine lake. Here we ride the world’s steepest cog-railway and
then cable cars with new panoramic gondolas up to 7000’ Mt. Pilatus for a
view of a lifetime. Return back by a lake paddle steamer for a
fondue dinner and Swiss folklore show. On to Ticino, called |
 |
| “Valley of 1000 Valleys” or “Sun Terrace of the World” with total Mediterranean fair. Based at our Hotel de
la Paix in lovely Lugano, we’ll see it all. Tour a Chocolate Factory, a
Merlot Winery, ferry over Lake Maggiore to shop the fabulous markets and
silk outlets of Luino, see the renowned Villa d’Este and taste gelati in
Stressa. |

| From the jewel like oasis of Como, we cruise by boat
over Lake Como to tour enchanting Bellagio with its exquisite villas,
gardens and incredible views. Many consider this the most beautiful town in
Italy and even all of Europe. Free time will be available for swimming
lakes, funicular rides up mountains, bicycling, spas and my favorite
activity of all, paragliding. |

World” with its champagne climate and perpetual playground for the rich and
famous. Enjoy a cable car excursion to the Ice Palace on a glacier 10,837’
high. We end in the world class capital of Zurich. Discover the beauty of
Old Town and shop the famous Bahnhoffstrasse. It is a haven for art lovers
with 50 museums and 100 galleries. |
